Happy Easter!!!

What a wonderful first Easter for Brooks and a great day for everyone! Emerson and Brooks woke up to a half eaten apple (we didn't have carrots) and clues leading them to their Easter presents. Emerson was so excited to find the next hiding spot, enjoying the gifts (baseball glove, bat, Princess and the Frog movie, etc), but wasn't ready to give up until she found the jackpot - CANDY!!! After a morning of sweets and a nap, we headed over to Aunt Roberta's for a family celebration.

Emerson and Brooks loved every moment playing with their cousins. We spent most of the day in the glorious sun, searching for eggs, playing basketball and just enjoying Brooks' attempts at walking. He loves being outside, like most kids, but is truly enjoying all of the sensations... grass on his feet, feeling the bark on the trees, touching bushes and flowers. Emerson holds her own with the 'big' kids and is getting to the age of not wanting mom and dad lingering close beyond... she's Miss. Independent.

The Rocchetti cousins... we need some more girls!!
We had an awesome meal and the traditional coconut lamb cake that I have had since I was a child. Thanks Aunt Roberta for continuing the tradition and hosting. We had a wonderful time!
