Emerson Flips Over Gymnastics

This past week was Emerson's last gymnastics class. We completed her first class when she was 15 months old and this second class started the in October. It's amazing to see how much she has improved... her confidence, listening skills, coordination and physical ability.
Her achievements include walking across the beam by herself, of course with constant reminders from mom to hold her arms out like an airplane. She loves doing all sorts of rolls on the mats (forward, backward and log rolls). Emerson's most improved skill is jumping on the trampoline with two feet with her arms in the air. That took GREAT restraint! She used to run full speed, laughing hysterically, as she would fall into the mat at the end. With mom's assistance she is also able to do a pull over on the bars.
We have made nice friends and have had many laughs! Daddy is Emerson's sideline coach and motivation and Pop and Lola have been frequent observers. Emerson loved performing for her fan club! Next stop is swimming lessons with cousin Norie!
Emerson laughing with Mom walking on the big girl beam!

Emerson's so proud to have completed her pull over on the bars.

Swinging like a monkey in the foam pit.

Enhancing my rock climbing skills.

  1. Looks like a natural. Maybe we'll see Emerson in the Olympics in about 15 years!
