X-mas Morning - The Day of Firsts

Emerson and Brooks woke up to half eaten cookies and carrots and a tree and stockings full of presents. Santa didn't go overboard, but did get everything on Emerson's small list. She was excited but more concerned that Santa didn't finish the cookies. After playing with toys, we had a late brunch with grandparents and Uncle Coak and Aunt Kate.

The highlight of every holiday is watching the joy in Emerson's eyes and now Brooks. We were blessed with milestone achivements this year with Brooks crawling and sitting up for the first time on X-mas. He's an extremely fast learner and is motivated by his curiosity of all things.

Emerson and I also built a snow fort with her new snow cube! What fun. She's an amazing helper and a wise guy as well. She started a couple of snowball fights along the way and had fun making snow angels. It was our first day out in the snow. Of course it rained the next day and our fort is no longer! Next snow fall we'll start over again. ;-)
