Happy 3rd Birthday, Emerson!!!

Emerson turned three years old on November 10th. We can't believe our little baby is such a big girl. This was her first year of having a separate friends and family party. It's a tough time of year and unexpected weather and the thought of over 50 people inside our quaint house is not appealing. She also was excited to invite her school friends to the festivities and we were excited to see her forming real friends, so it was a go!
Saturday, November 14th, we held the family party at home. She was wanting a candy land theme for both parties, but for the family party we picked out a candy theme (not candy land game) and had a nice dinner with spaghetti, meatball, pork rib, salad and bread. It was a fun night of playing with cousins and playing with some of Em's new toys.

On Sunday, November 15th, we had the 'friends' party at Kid Sport in Waterford with '16' of her closest friends. It was a wild party... kids were running, playing soccer, basketball, crying, and laughing. After the free play, we moved over to the obstacle room. The kids loved the rope swing, rope wall and moon bounce. The kids, mostly the boys, were sweaty and exhausted, but all were smiling and having a great time. When play ended, we moved to the Candy Land Themed party room, had Troy's pizza and then Candy Land Cake and ice cream cups. The kids ate quickly and then went to town on the arcade games and rides. It was a wonderful first kids party.

What a weekend! Emerson was exhausted at the end of it all and it will definitely be a birthday to remember! Thanks to all for making it so special.
